Workshop on Statistical Methods in Finance 2017

The third conference and workshop on Statistical Methods in Finance aims to expose the participants to new and active areas of research and to engage researchers into active working groups.
As a followup to StatFin 2017, AlgoLab and Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI) are organising the one day conference on the Applications of Quantitative Methods and Data Analytics in Industry. The purpose of this one day conference is to bring the young Ph.D. students, faculty, and industry leaders, under the roof at CMI. All the speakers in this conference are industry leaders. They will present the problems that they are solving in industry. This event is going to be an excellent opportunity for the academicians to learn some new open problem that our corporate sector is looking for solutions.
Our aim is for the academicians to better appreciate and understand how industry applies quantitative methods and data analytics. Also the conference will give networking opportunities for participants from Industry and Academia to collaborate on any area of mutual interest.
