A double-frequency algorithm is presented in this paper to solve the low refresh rate, non-uniformity in low gray level problems of the fine pitch LED display. The algorithm scrambles the time of a set data to several short periods and every period keeps the previous duty cycle in order to increase the total LED display refresh rate without changing the total gray level. The algorithm is optimized with different levels and the uniformity is improved. The algorithm is verified by sample chip.
