Abstract Accepted
In the petrochemical, oil industry, dangerous substances of various types would be produced, stored and transported. If these hazardous chemicals release accidentally, they could cause serious influence on the surrounding environment and residents. Therefore, it is important to simulate leakage and dispersion of pollutants of petrochemical area. Based on the process piping of plant for research object, this article use computational fluid dynamics (CFD) commercial software to simulate the case of benzene leakage and diffusion. Methods of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) are used to establish the physical model of two-dimensional diffusion. FLUENT software is used to simulate the maximum concentration of pipeline leak under different parameters (time, wind velocity, humidity and atmospheric stability) on plant chemical processing equipment area and study diffusion regularity under different circumstances. The results show that with the passage of time and the speed increasing, residential areas are at risk. With the increase of humidity, the benzene concentration of the neighborhood change in different vertical direction. Atmospheric stability is not conducive to the diffusion of benzene.
