Seismic Wave Propagation Effect On Buried Heat-supply Pipeline
Buried pipeline, Heat-supply system, Seismic wave propagation, Numerical analysis, frozen soil
Abstract Accepted
The pipeline system was the main tool for heat supply in northern China in winter. For this system, earthquake is the most potentially devastating factor. In this paper, seismic wave propagation effect on this pipeline system was analyzed based on ANSYS. According to the simulation results, some important parameters were tested how to influence the effect of seismic wave propagation on buried pipeline, such as seismic wave characteristics, seismic wave invading orientation, pipeline diameter and buried depth, water temperature, frozen soil dynamic characteristics. The numerical analytical calculation was also compared with some experimental data and results for buried pipeline system. Some valuable conclusions for reducing seismic risk of heat-supply buried pipeline were provided.
