Non-stop transmission blockage technologies is the preferred approach used to maximize safety while performing piping maintenance, As an important part of non-stop transmission blockage technologies, the structure of blockage plays an important role in the quality of pipe plugging. To solve the problem that it is difficult to plug the pipeline successfully all in once, a newly developed pipeline double blockage is presented in this paper. The double blockages can sweep the residue in the pipeline by its first blockage to guarantee the plugging ability of the last blockage;By means of analyzing the double blockages’ static analysis, the results show that the newly developed pipeline double blockages can completely meets the requirements of the work environment; Plugging ability of the rubber cup ring is checked, the results show that the plugging ability of the Double Blockage could be reached to 9.186Mpa, completely meets the requirements of the pressure of 6.4MPa in the pipeline, and even more than 40% redundancy. A universal experiment table is designed and built to verify the double blockage’s overall performance. The results have proved that the double blockage can be pull in and pull out from the 324mm pipeline smoothly under the pressure of 6.4MPa, and maintain the pressure a long time without leakage. The new Double-Plug is safer and more efficient than the traditional ones which can largely help develop the pipe plugging technologies.
