Abstract
In this paper, the single-phase open-circuit (SPOC) fault for five-leg two-mover permanent-magnet linear motor traction system is investigated and modeled. A loss mode is developed for traction system with minimum copper loss under SPOC fault. By the finite-control-set model predictive control (FCS-MPC), the fault-tolerant control method is implemented and the traction system is well operated with minimum copper loss. All the theoretical analysis is verified by simulation results.
