Abstract
A double-sided flux switching permanent magnet linear machine (DLFSPM) is presented used in precision servo applications. Double-sided asymmetry distribution of stator teeth (DADST) is introduced to reduce the detent force. Detent forces as well as back-EMF and thrust force are calculated by FEM. The method can reduce the unbalanced magnetic force (UMF) effectively. Finally, the performance comparison of the optimized DFSPMLM machine and the conventional one is carried out, which have verified that the method of detent force reduction is correct and effective.
