Abstract
In this paper, a control strategy for linear induction motor (LIM) is proposed. A mathematical model with edge effects is introduced to improve thrust precision and dynamic response performance. A kind of offline measurement of motor parameters is built and the parameter will be used in the controller to compensate for edge effects. Besides, multi-pulse pattern modulation is applied to reduce thrust pulsation and improve efficiency. Finally, the strategy is verified through experiments.
