Abstract
The suspension system of the electrodynamic suspension (EDS) train is optimized in order to improve the stable suspension height under the unit superconducting coil (SC coil) area, reduce the horizontal resistance density and the ohmic loss both generated by the induced current in the levitation/guidance coils (LG coils). Firstly, the model of suspension system is erected by dynamic circuit theory (DCT). Then the optimization model is constructed based on the forbearing stratified sequencing method (FSSM), and the constrained optimization problem is solved by the particle swarm optimization (PSO). Finally, the performance of the optimized system is analyzed, and the finite-element method (FEM) is used to ensure the accuracy of analytical calculation, proving the efficiency of the optimization algorithm.
