Abstract
Functional brain imaging technology has developed rapidly in recent years. On the one hand, high-field 7T MRI has surpassed the spatial resolution constraints of 3T MRI, allowing us to enter a new world of mesoscopic imaging from the macroscopic imaging of human brain functions. On the other hand, the novel atomic magnetometer magnetoencephalography (MEG) has broken down the technical barriers of traditional superconducting MEG, which brings imaging of neuronal electromagnetic signals from cortical imaging to whole brain imaging. This report will focus on the research and development status of high-field magnetic resonance imaging and the new generation of MEG technology from both domestic and international perspective, foreseeing the new era of brain imaging applications that will soon be opened up.
