The study described the monitoring of periodic fluctuations on the surface of Yongxia mining area during high water/low water periods. The research aimed to understand the impact of water level changes on the surface and the potential environmental risks.By collecting and analyzing water level data in the Yongxia mining area, the research team discovered periodic fluctuations on the surface during high and low water periods. During high water periods, the surface exhibited noticeable uplift and subsidence, while the opposite changes occurred during low water periods.Observing these periodic fluctuations, the researchers concluded that these changes could be related to the periodic fluctuations in the groundwater level. During high water periods, the abundant groundwater exerted significant pressure, resulting in surface uplift. Conversely, during low water periods, the groundwater level decreased, reducing the pressure and causing surface subsidence. However, these periodic fluctuations on the surface could pose a series of environmental risks. Firstly, the uplift and subsidence of the surface could damage surrounding infrastructure, including buildings and pipelines. Secondly, these fluctuations could lead to drastic changes in the groundwater level, thereby affecting the local water supply. To mitigate these risks, the research team recommended strengthening the monitoring and early warning systems for surface fluctuations in the Yongxia mining area. Regular monitoring of surface changes, coupled with the analysis of groundwater level data, could enable the early prediction of potential uplift and subsidence events, allowing for appropriate measures to be taken for risk management and disaster prevention. In summary, the study described the monitoring of periodic fluctuations on the surface of the Yongxia mining area during high water/low water periods. These findings revealed the relationship between surface changes and groundwater levels, and proposed recommendations for enhancing monitoring and early warning systems to mitigate potential environmental risks.
