Building of geo-risk maps as a consequence of the impact of underground mining takes into account specific features such as geological-mining conditions of technological and exploitation parameters of land use in mining regions. These specifications have conditioned the methods for creating, analysing, processing and modelling the database, related to the phenomenon of rock mass movement over, and under the exploitation space as well as its appearance on the ground surface. The geo-risk mapping process goes through three phases: the risk assessment, the vulnerability indexing of the objects in the mining exploitation region, and finally the mapping as a coexistence of risk and vulnerability. The need for building of geo-risk maps in Albania born and has grown especially in recent years in the framework of implementing policies for a more useful use of the territory. A special impetus has been given in this regard by the presence of many abandoned mining areas. This presence requires the taking of rehabilitation measures that initially require the building of geo-risks maps. This paper discuss the experience created in the building and use of geo-risks maps as a result of underground mining in Albania, noting in particular their standardized, and automated building using GIS technology and Model Builder application.
