The type of slope protection component is an important element affecting the erosion protection effect of bank slope and the microhabitat of riparian zone. As a new type of slope protection component continuously laid on the surface of bank slope, the flow field near the bottom is complex and has strong three-dimensional property. The velocity and vorticity distribution near such a component are important indexes to determine its engineering effect. In order to clarify the practical application value of orifice grid structure, the physical flume and equiscale numerical flume models of continuously arranged orifice grid members are established based on test flume and large eddy simulation technology, respectively. The rationality of numerical simulation results of measured time average velocity and turbulence kinetic energy distribution at different vertical lines is verified. The results show that the flow velocity is evenly distributed above the z/h=0.5 level, and the pore plate grid structure only affects the middle and lower water bodies. There is a clockwise vortex inside the grid, and there is an obvious mixing layer at the top. The high vorticity area is concentrated inside the grid and in the mixing layer. The hole plate grid structure can effectively reduce the near-bottom flow rate, protect the bank slope erosion, and promote the material exchange between the near-bottom flow and the upper main stream by shaping the cavity vortex, which is a good ecological slope protection structure.
