The quantification of the benefits of reservoir dredging is one of the increasingly important but still in the preliminary research stage in China's water conservancy economy, and it is also an important evaluation content for the effective planning and implementation of reservoir dredging projects. Due to the complexity of dredging benefits, reservoir dredging is mostly selected based on investment and cost, lacking a comprehensive measurement of input and output. This article analyzes the influencing factors of reservoir dredging benefits, adopts a basic research approach from qualitative to quantitative, establishes an evaluation index system for reservoir dredging benefits, and proposes qualitative indicator benefit substitution method and quantitative indicator calculation method in the quantitative calculation of reservoir dredging benefits, which can provide scientific reference for future calculation of reservoir dredging benefits.
