Based on the measured data of sand peak transport after the storage and operation of the Three Gorges Reservoir, this article studies the relationship between the propagation time of sand peaks during the flood season of the Three Gorges Reservoir and different influencing factors. Using a stepwise regression method, the main influencing factors of sand peak propagation time are identified, and a well fitting formula for sand peak propagation time in the Three Gorges Reservoir is established. The research results can provide reference for sediment regulation during the flood season of the Three Gorges Reservoir.
