The fish lift, employing a circulating water pump, utilizes water flow through fish-attracting entrances to lure fish in downstream channels. Utilizing multiple fish-attracting entrances enhances the probability of fish attraction in the downstream channel. A critical consideration in designing these entrances lies in determining their dimensions and the associated fish-attracting flow rate.Significant variations in fish-attracting flow rates are evident within both the fish collection trough and entrances when downstream channel water levels experience considerable fluctuations.  Experimental research was conducted on a specific fish lift with dual fish-attracting entrances, using a 1:10 scale physical model.  The primary focus of the experiments included examining flow distribution within the fish collection trough and entrances, as well as velocity characteristics, under different fish-attracting flow rates and downstream water levels.By considering the swimming capabilities of the target fish species, a flow-to-water level response relationship suitable for this specific configuration was proposed.  This provides a technical basis for operational scheduling of the fish lift and serves as a reference for similar projects, offering insights into the interaction between flow rates and water levels in the context of fish attraction mechanisms.
