This study explores into the assessment of Molded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) performance within electrical power distribution systems. MCCBs serve as pivotal components safeguarding electrical circuits against overloads and short circuits, thereby upholding the safety and reliability of the power distribution network. However, ensuring MCCB's optimal performance necessitates comprehensive evaluation methodologies. Hence, this research introduces a novel approach to assess the breaking performance using simulation.

The outcomes underscore the efficacy of the proposed methodology in precisely evaluating MCCB performance across diverse operating conditions. Furthermore, the insights gleaned from this investigation offer valuable directives for augmenting the reliability and efficiency of power distribution systems. This study significantly contributes to advancing the understanding of MCCB performance evaluation and sets the stage for future research endeavors in this domain
