In this paper, an improved combination morphological filter-hat operation is proposed and applied to short-circuit fault detection in stator windings. In addition, the structure element is selected as linear shape, and combined with the improved morphology operation, the stator vibration signal can be used to diagnose whether the stator winding short-circuit fault occurs. The experimental data are from the dynamic model experimental unit MJF-30-6, and the vibration signal of stator turn short circuit is analyzed. The results show that the improved combination morphological filter-hat operation can simultaneously extract the double frequency, quadruple frequency and sixfold frequency of stator vibration signal. This method is convenient for fault identification and diagnosis of electric machine and has practical reference value.
