Abstract
The current work investigates fouling heat transfer of a curved oscillating plate. Being computational challenging, the problem entails mass, momentum, particle species and energy transports coupled to the oscillating plate motion interacting through appropriate interfacial conditions at the evolving deposit front and the plate surface. Plates of different curvature under prescribed oscillatory motion are considered. Deposit profile on different plates is distinctly determined by the plate curvature. Heat transfer is hindered by the highly insulating deposit layer leading to heat accumulation within the plate when it is almost fully-encapsulated by the deposit layer.
