Abstract
The intensification of human activities, such as rapid urbanization and industrialization, has led to increasingly severe water pollution in coastal zones. Current water quality modelling for coastal bays face challenges including: 1) lack of dynamic pollution "source-pathway" characterization, 2) low simulation efficiency, and 3) insufficient cost-effectiveness analysis. In this talk, I will present research progress on an independently developed optimization model for bay ecosystem management, which provides scientific support and modeling tools for bay water quality management.
