Abstract
BEF study offers a critical lens for understanding the consequences of biodiversity loss and safeguarding our planet's ecosystems. While traditional BEF studies have primarily emphasized the role of plants (lower trophic levels), the regulatory influence of higher trophic levels—such as herbivores and predators—has often been overlooked. This talk addresses this gap by showcasing recent studies that illuminate the significant contributions of these often-neglected groups. Prepare to reconsider the scope of biodiversity conservation: protecting plants alone is insufficient; the unseen but ubiquitous roles of higher trophic levels are equally vital for ecosystem health.
