Abstract
Benefiting from its ultra-wide bandwidth, terahertz (THz) communication has emerged as a promising solution for future 6G wireless networks. For THz communication, precoding is an essential technique to overcome key challenges of THz signals, such as severe distance-dependent path loss and the beam-splitting effect. Although THz systems can significantly increase system capacity, providing QoS guarantees to users remains a challenging issue. In this paper, we propose a novel scheduling algorithm, termed QoS-Assurance User Scheduling (QAUS), which uses power control to maximize the system throughput while guaranteeing that all users achieve a minimum required rate. Secondly, the proposed scheduling chooses users who are semi orthogonal to each other in the beamspace to reduce the complexity of exhausted search. Through numerical analysis, we confirm that QAUS scheduling can outperform the rate of the Maximum Rate (MR) and the Round Robin (RR) methods in terms of goodput and badput.
