Geochemical And Sr–nd Isotopic Data On Petrogenesis Of Late Carboniferus Gabbro In The East Of Misho

Whole-rock chemical and Sr and Nd isotope data are presented for gabbroic rocks Misho Mountain terrain in Northwest Iran. Age data indicate that they were emplaced in the late Carboniferous. The Misho mountain gabbros is located in part of Center of the Misho mountain that they was derived from tholeiitic magma series with higher TiO2, REE abundance and Fe3+ / Fe2+ ratio. These gabbroic rocks have major and trace element chemistry similar N-MORb. Samples gabbroic have high initial 87Sr/86Sr (0.70379–0.70381) and initial Nd isotope ratios (ɛNd1 to 2); Regional variations in Sr and Nd isotope ratios are similar to that mantle array. The Sr and Nd isotope ratios attributed deplated mantle magma source. Geochemical characteristics of plutonic rocks are similar to toleiite basalts, such as relatively high contents of Ba, Pb and Sr and relatively low contents of Nb, Zr and Ni.The Sr, Nd. Isotopic characteristics of Misho gabbro are similar to those of N-MoRB. Also Sr and Nd ratios display they don’t have any contamination and AFC in the source.
