Abrasive inclusions in bearing ball steel scraps from grinding process should be removed on the resource utilization of bearing ball steel scraps. By analysis of hydrochloric acid insoluble of steel scraps, it is shown that abrasive inclusions in steel scraps are Al2O3 and SiC fine particles. Magnetic separation was finally adopted on removing of abrasive inclusions in steel scraps by comparison of effect of four removing ways. And effect of grinding way before magnetic separation, process location and intensity of magnetic separation on removing of abrasive inclusions was explored. Finally, reason of why abrasive inclusions can’t be absolutely removed was analyzed.
