Location Based Services (LBS) have attracted significant attention in recent years, and the demands for accurate indoor localization techniques have risen rapidly.Among all these techniques, the RSS–based fingerprinting localization is the most viable method due to its stable
performance without the need for additional hardware. However,the traditional methods do not take the topological structure of reference positions into consideration, which actually affects the
accuracy of positioning much. In this paper, an improved probabilistic localization algorithm is proposed, which takes the structure of reference positions as an undirected graph. By estimating and minimizing the expectation of positioning error, the proposed algorithm gets high accuracy. Shown in the experimental results, the proposed algorithm performs better than the other two typical fingerprinting localization methods.
