Introduction

The 2017 conference is the sixth in the planned annual series linked to the IET Renewable Power Generation (RPG) Journal.The aim is to provide a forum for the latest research in renewable power generation technology and issues of integration into power systems. The link to the journal is emphasized by the commitment to a dedicated special issue for the best papers in these RPG conferences.
