Introduction

The International Congress on Logistics and SCM Systems (ICLS) is organized by the International Federation of Logistics & SCM Systems (IFLS) and the Asian Pacific Federation of Logistics & SCM Systems (APFLS). It was initiated by Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan, 2004. To date, the congress has been held 11 times, and it is becoming the most influential meeting for Asia-based logistics and SCM. The congress aims to provide an international forum for leading academics, researchers and practitioners to discuss and exchange ideas on the latest developments and to seek opportunities for collaboration among the participants as well as to promote excellence in the field.

The 12th International Congress on Logistics and SCM Systems (ICLS2017) will be held in Beijing, China, August 20-23, 2017. It is being organized by the Business School, Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE), China. The focus of the ICLS2017 is on environmental sustainability in logistics and supply chains, with special emphasis on the Asian-Pacific region. Academicians, researchers, educators, practitioners and public authorities from all communities related to the domain of logistics and supply chains are invited to participate in the conference and address the issue.
