4th Edition of the Conference WASTES Solutions, Treatments and Opportunities

On behalf of the Organizing Committee we would like to welcome you to the 4th edition of the International Conference WASTES: Solutions, Treatments and Opportunities.

Wastes 2017 will be a joint organization of CVR - Centre for Waste Valorisation and the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto and will take place at the historical city of Porto, between 25th and 26th of September.

Once again we expect to bring together experts from the Waste Management and Recycling sectors from around the world, offering state of the art knowledge and sharing experiences with all who attend. Discussions regarding the balance between economic, environmental and social outcomes, focused specially on the necessary transition from a linear to a circular economy, its opportunities, challenges and constraints, will be carefully addressed. The development of innovative techniques, tools and strategies to improve corporate environmental performance, the understanding of how industry activities impact on the environment and the options analysis for its improvement are also key objectives for this event.

Authors are invited to submit their contribution as full or short papers and, likewise the 2015 edition, all full papers accepted will be included in a book published by CRC Press – Taylor& Francis Group, that will be proposed to Scopus and Thomson Reuters for indexing, while the short papers accepted will be included in the Book of Proceedings of the Conference (with ISSN).
