The Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Computation of the Universidad Central “Marta  Abreu”  de  Las  Villas  (UCLV),  is pleased to invite you to participate in the I International  Conference  on  Information Processing (ICIP 2017). The event will be held within the framework  of  the International  Convention  on  Science, Technology  and  Society:  Perspectives and Challenges, to be held from October 23  to  27,  2017  at  the  tourist  resort located  in  the  north  of  the  Villa  Clara Province,  Cuba.  The event will be developed under the general theme: “ICT for sustainable development”. It will be a pleasure to welcome you in our event.

Purpose of the event
The  Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas,  an institution  of excellence of Higher Education in Cuba  is one of the leaders in the use and application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The rapid development of ICT  has led to a change in the formats and ways in which information is sought, retrieved, processed and used. The  purpuse  of  ICIP  2017 is to disseminate the main scientific results achieved in the fields  of information technologies, data analysis and processing and the implementation of digital resources  as well as  the impact of ICT in the computerization of society at a global level. The event includes exhibitions of tutorials, specialized conferences and presentations of papers.

Professional profile of participants
Can participate researchers, professors, specialists and students related to the areas of knowledge of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science, Mathematics, Biometeorology,  Software Engineering, Analysts and  Designers of Automated Systems,  including other  the professionals that investigate on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in its broadest sense.
