2017 Workshop on Privacy for Big Data

In the big data era, personal data is commercially collected and traded in the new economy. The growth of big data analytics brings considerable benefits, which recently arouses the widespread concern on privacy issues. Big data purports that data is a resource which is able to be used and reused. In that case, the collected data has various sources and forms. Therefore, traditional privacy-preserving solutions are insufficient for big data era. The battle for privacy has already begun. The 2nd International Workshop on Privacy for Big Data (PBD 2017) brings together privacy experts from both the academia and industry all over the world to discuss state-of-the-art privacy technologies and new perspectives. PBD encourages novel practical and/or theoretical research including design, analysis, experimentation, or fielding of privacy-enhancing technologies for Big Data. Besides typical research areas such as anonymity systems and privacy-oriented cryptography, we strongly encourage submissions on a number of both well-established and emerging privacy-related topics for the Internet, some other digital systems and communication networks.
