Introduction

We are pleased to invite you to attend and participate in the 7th International Conference on Logistics and Maritime Systems. The aim of this conference is to provide a forum for participants from universities and related industries to exchange ideas on the latest technical, operational, economic and sustainability developments in container and bulk logistics and their related maritime systems.

LOGMS 2017 is sponsored by the research project “Green shipping under uncertainty”, which is funded by the Research Council of Norway and industry partners Bergen Shipowners’ Association, Odfjell and Western Bulk.

Submission Topics

We are pleased to invite you to submit an abstract to LOGMS 2017. Submissions will be received electronically via Easychair. To submit your abstract, please log in to EasyChair using the following link: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=logms2017. Abstracts should contain no more than 500 words.

Acceptance or rejection will be based on the extended abstracts. No full paper will be asked for, as we want to see presentations at the conference based on new and ongoing work. However, we do invite paper submissions to the special issue "Analytics and models for maritime logistics and systems" of the Flexible Services and Manufacturing Journal (Springer), edited by Kjetil Fagerholt, Julio C. Góez, Kap-Hwan Kim, Frank Meisel, Qiang Meng, and Magnus Stålhane. Submission deadline is December 31, 2017.

All works related to theoretical developments and applications of logistics and maritime systems are welcome. Topics include (but are not limited to):
