1st International Conference on Cognitive Reserve in the Dementias

It is our sincere pleasure to invite you to the 1st International Conference on Cognitive Reserve in the Dementias (ResDem) in Munich on 24-25 November 2017.

Research on protective factors in different dementias has received growing attention during the last years. A key finding was that higher levels of life experiences such as cognitive, social and physical activities are associated with a later onset and decreased risk of dementia. The brain mechanisms underlying these protective effects yet remain largely unknown, even though it is crucial to further understand these mechanisms so that this knowledge can be used to develop effective therapies and preventive strategies.
