3rd International Workshop for Data Science and Computing (DSC'2017)

The use of technology in our everyday lives has been made possible by the availability of data in enormous amounts. Data is drawn from different sectors and platforms including cell phones, social media, e-commerce sites, healthcare surveys, internet searches, etc. The increase of available data opened the door to a new field of study called Big Data which refers to the huge amount of information that can be used into to produce better tools of operations in all sectors including transportation, finance, manufacturing, and regulation.

Data science includes areas of data analytics, machine learning, statistics, optimization and managing big data, and has become essential to understand from large data sets and convert data into useful intelligence, be it data available to enterprises, Government or on the Web. The 3rd International Workshop for Data Science and Computing (DSC'17) aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and industry practitioners to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of Data Science and Applications.
