Introduction
Industrial Agents are (multi)-agent systems utilized in industrial scenarios. They empower collaborative networks to offer dynamic service changes, customization, improved quality and reliability, and flexible infrastructure.With the prevalence of IoT, CPS, and especially Machine Learning, Agents are in the heart of the 4thindustrial revolution. The application domains in smart grid, smart city, and smart factoriesare listed as key targets by worldwide initiatives including the “Made in China 2025”. With these new opportunities, industrial agents are expected to provide more intelligent solutions with advanced computing and communication abilities.
