Belt and Road Language Resources and Evaluation B&R LRE 2018 (B&R LRE)

The 11th edition of LREC is going to be held in Miyazaki (Japan) on May 7-12, 2018. The first Workshop on the Belt and Road Language Resources and Evaluation (B&R LRE) , as part of the LREC, will be held on May 8, 2018, before the main conference of LREC. The workshop will be co-hosted by Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Language Resources and Chinese Information Processing Society of China.
As the first B&R LRE in LREC, it aims to explore the mechanism of language resources collection, processing, archiving and sharing; to facilitate to make the standards and codes for language resources; to promote application of language tools and technologies to language resources; and to develop language technologies evaluation method. It provides an opportunity for the researchers and others in the field of language resources and language technologies to be exposed to the latest research, and to cultivate new ideas on B&R language resources and evaluation.
The workshop is designed to have keynote speeches, a panel discussion on low-resource language collection and development, and a poster session for submitted papers. 20-40 posters will be presented depending on quantity and quality of submissions.
2018年5月7-12日，第十一届语言资源与评测大会（LREC）将在日本宫崎召开。由语言资源高精尖创新中心与中国中文信息学会联合举办的首届“一带一路”语言资源与评测研讨会将作为大会的一部分，于2018年5月8日在LREC主会前召开。首届”一带一路”语言资源与评测研讨会旨在探究语言资源采集、加工、保存和共享机制，促进语言资源标准和规范的制定，推动语言工具和技术在语言资源方面的应用，开发语言技术和评测方法。
语言资源和技术领域的研究人员和其他相关人员将通过此次研讨会了解“一带一路”语言资源与评测的最近研究成果，并借此产生新的思想观点。此次研讨会包括主旨报告、小组讨论和海报环节。小组讨论的议题为低资源语言采集与开发。会议将依据提交论文的数量和质量，展出20-40张海报。
