Introduction

CSAW & Competition Overview 

CSAW  is the largest international, student-run cyber security event in the world, featuring competitions, workshops, and industry forums. Competitions are developed by undergraduate and graduate students who represent some of the leading security programs and academic institutions worldwide. 

Founded in  2003 by Professor Nasir Memon (NYU Tandon School of Engineering, fomerly Polytechnic Institute), this confernece aims to raise awareness of security issues and challenges, provide skill-building opportunities and experience, and inspire students to pursue higher studies and careers in this Area of ​​critical need. With less than one hundred students competing in 2003, the event has grown exponentially, now featuring a starting round of over 12,000 competitors from across the world.

In the  Applied Research Competition,  student authors are invited to enter the running for the CSAW "Best Paper Award." With eligibility limited to previously published/camera-ready papers, this competition has a reputation for drawing some of the best security research worldwide.

Selecting your Track:  please select your  Track  based on the region or country where your university is located, as defined below:

  • CSAW Europe:  for any student author enrolled at a university located in Armenia, the European Union, Norway, or Switzerland 

  • CSAW India : for any student author enrolled at a university located in India 

  • CSAW Israel:  for any student author enrolled at a university located in Israel 

  • CSAW MENA:  for any student author enrolled at a university located in Algeria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Chad, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Georgia, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine , Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, or Yemen

  • CSAW North America : for any student author enrolled at a university located in the United States, Canada, or Mexico 

Should your published paper have more than one university affiliation, please select the Track based on the university affiliation of the student author (typically the 1st student author) who will  likely  present at Finals if selected during the prelimiary review round.
