Introduction

As one of the core technologies of NEV, lightweight is the basis to achieve energy saving, emission reduction, green development and to promote the all-win results in automobile industry. Far and away, lightweight is becoming the development trend of NEVs. Compared with traditional automobiles, lightweight issue seems more notable for NEVs as limited by battery weight and endurance. Therefore, NEV manufacturers should enhance lightweight research.

The 6th New Energy Vehicle Lightweight Summit 2018 will take root in China market, focus on the core technologies of NEV lightweight; discuss the development of NEV lightweight technology from the view of lightweight materials, body structure design and advanced manufacturing process; aiming at enhancing the core competitiveness of NEV lightweight, jointly promoting the energy saving, environmental protection and sustainable development of international automobile industry.
