Abstract Accepted
Steam turbine thermal design usually only considers parameters such as height and diameter of the blade, and fails to fully consider the influence of the meridional channel change on the performance of the turbine. The finite volume method is used to solve the three-dimensional Reynolds averaged N-S equation, and the fluid simulation calculation is performed on a mechanical-driven steam turbine. Under the parameters of the blade height and diameter given by the thermal design, the pressure stage flow calculation model is established, and the influence of the meridional channel change on the aerodynamic and thermal performance of the turbine is compared. The results show that the variation of the meridional channel has a significant impact on the aerodynamic performance of the turbine blades. The rational design of the meridional flow channel can effectively resist the secondary flow at the end of the blade and reduce the aerodynamic loss. According to the comparison results and optimization algorithm, the target unit meridional channel is optimized to improve the aerodynamic and thermal performance of the steam turbine.
