How to design the district-level integrated energy systems with high efficiency in energy utilization is the essential issue for urban energy planning. Traditional combined cooling, heating and power system is a promising approach for unban integrated energy system. However, heating network with water as working medium is increasingly constrained by the costly underground layout requirement; and traditional refrigerating fluids worry the society about the global warming effect. The natural refrigerating fluid CO2 has attracted more and more attention since its splendid heat transfer performance nearby the critical state. This paper proposed an advanced CO2-based energy system which integrating heat pump, air-conditioning system, surface water and two-line transmission system. The CO2 network will use energy from the deep lake to meet heating needs in winter and air conditioning needs in summer. Firstly, various energy converters in the advanced energy system are described. On this basis, considering the position of energy station and pipeline diameter, a CO2-based energy transmission network is designed. Energy consumption is used as an index to evaluate the performance of advanced energy system. Finally, the traditional energy supply method is compared with the proposed energy system, and the advantages of the proposed power system in energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions are proved
