Oil mist leakage was quite dangerous to staff health as well as safe functioning of the hydro generator.A study model was established based on flow theory analysis in the paper.3D calculated simulation was done to gain oil overflowing mechanism and optimized effectiveness,and the results was proved by measured data.The research showed negative air pressure was formed by upside air flow and caused oil mist diffused.Optimized program could use impellers to produce air pressure drop and exhausts,tuyeres to recycle oil mist,which could reduce oil mist rate from 4.9m3/h to 0.36m3/h and maintaining a comfortable environment in hydropower station.
