Introduction

The 21st IEEE International Conference on Autonomous Robot Systems and Competitions (ICARSC2021) is an international scientific meeting in the field of Mobile Robotics financially co-sponsored by the Portuguese Robotics Society, IEEE Portugal Section and IEEE Portugal RAS Chapter and technically sponsored by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS). The ICARSC conference is currently a top international scientific conference in the field of autonomous robotics and competitions. This conference is promoted by the University of Aveiro, University of Coimbra, Instituto Politécnico de Tomar and the Portuguese Society of Robotics, with the support from Santa Maria da Feira City Council and logistic support from Modal Creativity.
