Scope:Numerous synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites around our planet Earth are watching the fragile ecosystem and serving for sustainable development of human society. They are working with various modes and configurations, e.g. frequencies, polarimetry, interferometry, ScanSAR, constellations, etc. Global-scale products derived from SAR data are available for geoscientist, e.g. global DEM, global urban footprint and global forest map, providing the new insight into the earth systems. A new radar remote sensing paradigm is emerging in the big data era.With the technical support from IEEE GRSS, ISDE, CSIG, the BIGSARDATA workshop was held in 2017 and 2019. This year, BIGSARDATA2021 will be held in Nanjing, Eastern China, the beautiful city by the Yangtze River and capitals of 6 ancient dynasties. The workshop includes different subjects, such as big SAR data modeling, large-scale intelligent SAR processing, SAR applications in big data frameworks.
