Abstract
To improve the working performance of the motor and reduce the size of the module, an integrated power converter for the switched reluctance motor (SRM) with boost and regenerative braking functions is designed. The integrated power converter can work in driving mode, braking mode, and charging mode. The boost capacitor is used to increase the bus voltage, which effectively improves the driving and braking performance of the switched reluctance motor. Control the on-off of the power electronic devices to form a Buck circuit to feed the braking energy back to the battery. The multiplexing part of the power device realizes the charging with power factor correction (PFC) function. A simulation model was built in MATLAB/Simulink to verify the effectiveness of the integrated power converter.
