Abstract
Microwave reflection characteristics of flakeshaped Fe50Ni50 /paraffine composites with various volume concentration Vc varying from 5% to 20% have been investigated in the microwave frequency band. The effect of Vc on the resonance frequency, relative bandwidth and the mass of unit area have been studied. Microwave reflection result shows that the µ , ε, matching thickness and peak frequency of the dips can be dipicted with the quarter wavelength and three quarters wavelength matching condition. When Vc decreases to 5%, the relative bandwidth is enhanced, while the mass of unit area is reduced. The flake-shaped Fe50Ni50 /paraffine composite with low volume concentration can be attractive candidates for light weight and broad bandwidth microwave absorbers.
