The IEEE/ACM international conference on Connected Health: Applications, Systems and Engineering Technologies (CHASE) is a leading international conference in the field of connected health. CHASE aims to bring together researchers working in the smart and connected health area around the world to exchange innovative ideas and begin collaborations. Topics within the scope of CHASE include sensing, communications, and intelligent analytics in support of health-related applications, systems, and engineering technologies. Connected health will revolutionize preventative health and personalized medicine, providing rich medical information never-before avaliable to individuals while driving down healthcare costs. Connected health is at the intersection of many fields including, but not limited to wearable technologies, data management and security, and sensing technologies. As such, we encourage contributions from many different fields and welcome cross-disciplinary work.

IEEE/ACM CHASE is a leading international conference in the field of smart and connected health. It aims to bring together researchers in the smart and connected health area around the world to exchange innovative ideas and promote collaborations. Connected health can be defined as the use of internet, sensing, communications, and intelligent analytics in support of health-related applications, health systems, and engineering technologies. Connected health is at the convergence of multiple domains and technologies and helps to shape foundational improvements to healthcare delivery. In the future, improvements from connected health will be realized by providing rich medical information to each individual and by replacing infrequent, clinic-based measurements with unobtrusive, continuous sensing, monitoring and assessment. Connected health technologies will enable preventive health and personalized medicine and may significantly reduce healthcare costs. Building upon the success of its past six years, IEEE/ACM CHASE 2022 will be held in Washington, D.C. on November 17-19, 2022 to address challenges for enabling connected health worldwide.
Prospective authors are cordially invited to submit their original contributions covering completed or ongoing work related to the connected health area. We also welcome submissions related to COVID-19 and its mitigation. IEEE/ACM CHASE positions itself as a venue for science and engineering researchers to publish their research and discovery, including those that have potential to enable innovations but are not yet ready for clinical studies.
IEEE/ACM CHASE 2022 will accept regular, short, workshop, demo and poster papers. Regular and short papers will have an option to be published in either ACM Proceedings or Elsevier Smart Health Journal. The Best Paper award, the Best Student Paper award and the CHASE Service Award will be presented in the conference. Topics of interest and submission details are provided on the IEEE/ACM CHASE 2022 website. Student Travel Awards will be given to selected students from US-based institutions.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
