Introduction

The Frontiers in Education (FIE) Conference is a major international conference focusing on educational innovations and research in engineering and computing education leading the World in the development of new research insights and educational approaches.

The theme for 2022 is Grand Challenges in Engineering Education. FIE 2022 continues a long tradition of disseminating results in engineering and computing education. It is an ideal forum for sharing ideas, learning about developments and interacting with colleagues in all fields. We welcome all our colleagues to share the historical ambience of Uppsala City, and the cutting edge facilities of the Uppsala Congress Centre.

The 2022 conference is sponsored by Uppsala University, the oldest university in Sweden, and KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden’s premier technical university. The venue is located in the centre of Uppsala Downtown with less than 200 meters easy walk between the major conference hotels and the congress centre.

Welcome to Uppsala and Uppsala University, where we have been educating leading scholars since 1477.
