Brief Description

The Eighth International Conference on Data Mining and Big Data (DMBD'2023) serves as an international forum for researchers and practitioners to exchange latest advantages in theories, algorithms, models, and applications of data mining and big data as well as artificial intelligence techniques.

The DMBD'2023 is the Eighth event after the preceding Beijing, Guangzhou, Belgrade, Chiang Mai, Shanghai, Fukuoka and Bali events where more than hundreds of delegates from all over the world to attend and share their latest achievements, innovative ideas, marvelous designs and excel implementations. Papers presented at DMBD'2023 will be published by Springer-Nature in Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) (indexed by EI, ISTP, DBLP, SCOPUS, ISI Web of Science, etc.). The downloads of our meeting's proceedings reach the top 25% of all publications of Springer-Nature. Some high-quality papers will be selected for SCI-indexed Jounrals (including IEEE Trans, Neurocomputing, Machine Learning with Applications, International Journal of Intelligence System, Expert System with Applications, Entropy, Electronics, Multimedia Tools and applications, Research Report on Computer Science, etc.).

The main theme of this year DMBD'2023 is "FinTech empowered by Big-Models". Recent years have witnessed an explosion in the amount of financial data. Novel FinTech technologies, such as artificial intelligence and data mining,in particular, the big-models, nurture an increasing number of financial products, services, and opportunities. Several complex problems, such as investment decision making, macroeconomic analysis, asset credit evaluation etc., widely exist in the field of finance. After witnessing several promising achievements of FinTech, DMBD 2023 proposes the special track of FinTech empowered by Big-Models. This track aims to collect a wide range of articles from both data mining and its application to finance, it encourages original research papers of high quality that focus on novel ways of using AI techniques to solve the finance problems.

In addion, DMBD'2023 have many special sessions and tutourals organized by world-renowed professors, experts and active researchers for you to join.

Technically Co-sponsored/supported by IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, IEEE Beijing Chapter, World Federation of Soft Computing, International Neural Network Society, Springer-Nature, CCIS, Beijing Xinghui High-Tech Co. etc.(more to be added).

DMBD'2023 will be held during December 9th-12th, 2023 in Sanya Harman Resort Hotel, Sanya, China. Sanya, located in the southernmost of Hainan Island, known as Lucheng, also known as "Eastern Hawaii", is the southernmost tropical coastal tourism city in China. It ranks first among China's four first-tier tourist cities "Sanwei Hangxia" and boasts the most beautiful seaside scenery on the island.Sanya is an amazing place with beautiful beaches, rainforests, coral reefs and beautiful mountains, as well as rich culture and cuisine. Yalong Bay, known as the "first Bay under heaven", has a silver beach, fine sand, clean and transparent sea water. You can see the coral clearly, showing several different blue colors from the distance.

You are welcome to submit your latest papers to DMBD'2023! We are expecting you at Sanya this December!

Submission Guidelines
Prospective authors are invited to submit full-length papers (10-15 pages) to DMBD 2023 through the Online Paper Submission Systems, respectively, by the submission deadline. The submission of a paper implies that the paper is original and unpublished and will be presented by an author if accepted. Potential special track organizers are also invited to enlist five or more papers with cohesive topics to form special tracks.

All papers should be submitted electronically via Online Paper Submission Systems. The format of the initial submissions must be standard Springer CCIS style PDF. The files of the final accepted papers should be in either Word or Latex. Enquiries on paper submissions can be addressed to the secretariat at

A complete paper should be submitted using the Springer CCIS template, which is blind-submission review-formatted template. The length should match that intended for final publication. Note that the DMBD 2023 reviewing is double blind, in that authors do not know the names of the reviewers of their papers, and reviewers do not know the names of the authors. Please read the Example Paper for detailed instructions on how to preserve anonymity. Avoid providing information that may identify the authors in the acknowledgments (e.g., co-workers and grant IDs) and in the supplemental material. Avoid providing links to websites that identify the authors.

All submitted papers will be refereed double-blindly by experts in the respective fields according to the criteria of originality, significance, quality, and clarity. The authors of accepted papers will have an opportunity to revise their papers and take consideration of the referees’ comments and suggestions, before submitting the final camera-ready version.

Papers presented at DMBD 2023 will be published in Springer Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) (indexed by EI Compendex, ISI proceedings, ISTP, DBLP, etc.) and some high-quality papers will be selected for several SCI-indexed journals.

Paper Format
Papers must be single-spaced in one column format within an area of 122 mm x 193 mm with 10-point Times-Roman font. Each paper must exceed 10 pages and cannot exceed 15 pages including figures and references (papers beyond 15 pages are subject to page surcharge). All papers must be written in English using the Springer CCIS (Communications in Computer and Information Science) style, including all tables, figures, and references. It is required that the authors use the style file of Springer CCIS (template files for MS Word or LaTeX2e) when preparing the manuscripts to ensure the uniformity of papers.

For detials, please visit “Information for Authors of Computer Science Publications” on the website of Springer.

Presentation Modes
The presentation mode of a paper can be oral or poster depending on the preference of the authors and arrangement of the organizers. The authors can indicate their preferences on oral or poster presentation when submitting papers.
