The 7th National Conference on Computational Mechanics of Granular Materials in conjunction with The 4th International Symposium on Computational Particle Technology (CMGM-2024 & CPT-2024)

With the approval of the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, the 7^th National Conference on Computational Mechanics of Granular Materials (CMGM-2024) in conjunction with the 4^th International Symposium on Computational Particle Technology (CPT-2024) will be held in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China, from May 31^st to June 3^rd, 2024. CMGM-2024 & CPT-2024 will be hosted by the Panel of Computational Mechanics on Granular Materials of the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics and organized by Hohai University, Dalian University of Technology, and Jiangsu Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics.

The theme of this conference will be “the Frontiers in Computational Mechanics and Engineering Technology of Granular Materials”. It will focus on the critical scientific and technical issues in mechanical theories, modeling, computational analysis, software development, association with the artificial intelligence, as well as the engineering applications of granular materials. The conference provides an opportunity for both domestic and international researchers to exchange academic ideas about the challenges and the cutting-edge advances in the area. The conference is expected to be able to extract the promising research directions, identify the fundamental issues in granular mechanics, facilitate the progress in the theoretical foundations, the numerical methodologies, the engineering applications, and the interdisciplinary fusion in computational granular materials. To support the development of young scholars, especially graduate students, the conference will select outstanding papers and presentations.
