2024 17th International Conference on Scintillating Materials and their Applications (SCINT)

Dear colleagues,

We have the pleasure to invite you to attend the forth coming 17^th International Conference on Scintillating Materials and their Applications (SCINT2024) that will be held at the University of Milano – Bicocca, Milano, Italy, from July 8 – July 12, 2024.

The conference is an international forum on scintillator materials spanning  from fundamental aspects to technological applications. Topics include:

• Mechanisms and theory of scintillation
• Characterizations of scintillators
• Crystals: growth and structural control
• Optical ceramics and glasses
• Nano- and metamaterials, hybrids, and other novel materials
• Scintillators for fast timing detection and imaging
• Scintillators for neutron detection and imaging
• Applications of scintillators: fundamental research, health, environment, energy, metrology, industrial controls.

Plenary lectures, keynotes, orals, and poster sessions are planned during the whole week together with several social activities. In addition, a two-day summer school for young researchers on scintillation mechanisms and applications will be organized just before the starting of the conference.

The submitted conference proceedings will be published on IEEE – Transactions on Nuclear Science after a regular peer-review process.

Abstract submission is now open. News concerning the conference will be posted in this website, which will be constantly updated.
