Abstract
The deep-sea realm contains abundant resources and significant economic potential, encompassing biological and mineral assets. With the growing demand for deep-sea exploitation, the advancement of deep-sea technology has become crucial in providing essential support for such endeavors. On a global scale, organizations under the United Nations (UN) that are involved in deep-sea affairs constitute an indispensable force in the field of deep-sea technology. Opportunities for young people to engage in deep-sea careers can be organized in the following aspects: 1) Currently, the "Ocean Decade" initiative serves as a key platform for international cooperation in the deep sea field, offering young scientists the chance to apply for deep sea research projects; 2) The evolution of deep sea technology has given rise to a lot of professional opportunities, presenting a broad career outlook for young people; 3) International cooperation in deep sea technology among nations also provides career options for young people; 4) Global deep-sea development and sustainable development require the participation and contribution of young people, especially in the area of promoting sustainable deep-sea practices.
